Dr. Balar appointed as Medical Director of Rehabilitation for CentraState Medical Center

Princeton Brain, Spine and Sports Medicine is pleased to announce the appointment of Dhimant J. Balar, DO, as Medical Director of Rehabilitation for CentraState Medical Center, which began January 2019. Dr. Balar will lead and advise staff to enhance the quality and efficiency of medical care for Rehabilitation Services, while facilitating communication with other departments. He will ensure hospital policies centered around patient care are upheld and improved. He will be sharing his distinguished expertise and experience, as his role also includes supporting and developing clinical education for hospital staff.

Dr. Balar currently serves as team doctor for Monmouth University. He also continues to consult for the Human Motion Institute at Raritan Bay Medical Center, where he was previously the Director of Sports Medicine. Dr. Balar received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed his internal medicine residency at Pennsylvania Hospital, and specialized in a Sports Medicine Fellowship at SUNY Stony Brook. He previously worked on the medical teams for top professional athletes, including the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers, and Phantoms, as well as the city’s pro soccer team the KIXX. Dr. Balar also worked with athletes from Rowan University and Easton University.
