About Dr. Joseffer
Dr. Seth Joseffer, MD is a board-certified neurosurgeon who treats disorders and diseases of the brain and spine. Dr. Joseffer specializes in the application of minimally invasive surgical procedures and he has advanced training and experience in cranial and spinal surgery.
A native to the Northeast, Dr. Joseffer became fascinated with the brain’s functionality after witnessing his first brain surgery during undergraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. He pursued a medical degree from New York University Medical School, where he graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha medical society honors. Dr. Joseffer completed his residency in 2005 at NYU Department of Neurosurgery under Dr. Patrick Kelly, where he received special training in minimally invasive spine surgery. He went on to receive training through the Cleveland Clinic Gamma Knife Radiosurgery program.
As a Princeton Brain & Spine Care physician, Dr. Joseffer focuses on providing exceptional health care to his community. Dedicated to upholding a patient- first approach, he believes his patients deserve specialized, unhurried, one-on-one attention. He regards the doctor-patient relationship as sacred and strives to provide all patients with compassion and expertise.
Dr. Joseffer serves as Chief of Neurosurgery at the prestigious, state-of-the-art University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro, New Jersey.
Dr. Joseffer has made significant contributions to the medical community as a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. In addition, he has given numerous presentations in the United States and Canada. An active contributor to medical research, he has published several articles in the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery & Psychiatry, the American Journal of Neuroradiology, and Neurosurgery: Official Journal of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
In May 2014, Dr. Joseffer was recognized as a "Gold DOC.” This program is an initiative of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation and honors physicians showing "exemplary skill, sensitivity and compassion" in addition to outstanding medical skills. In 2016, 2017 and 2018, Dr. Joseffer was chosen as a "Jersey Choice Top Doctor" as voted by New Jersey physicians in NJ Monthly Magazine.
In his spare time, Dr. Joseffer is a dedicated runner who also enjoys golfing and hiking. He and his wife, Patty, reside in Princeton. They are happy to be close to family and fulfilling his dream of practicing patient-centered brain and spine care.
