My name is Derwyn. I’m a musician and I’m a composer of music. I had severe pain in my T12-L1 disc and vertebrae. It was severe over a period of time, to the point where it made me vomit, and ended up in an emergency room screaming.
They contacted Dr. McLaughlin. He was immediately astute and looking at X-rays I had provided, and he got right on the case. This had been there for a long time. I had back pain first in my twenties, but it was extremely severe when I was about 64-65. I was on the couch for 3 months. I couldn’t do anything except make it to the bathroom. After 3 months, the pain had worsened and the doctor decided to give me a surgery which really pretty much cleared up that problem.
Do not wait after you’re suffering more and more. Contact the doctor so he knows that. I probably waited too long, before finally contacting him. Some of the activities I’m working on now are preparing to play in public again, and working on compositions. My advice to anyone would be; if you find you have problems like this make sure you keep in touch with the doctor and don’t wait too long if it’s worsening. My experience with Princeton Brain, Spine and Sports Medicine is these three words… “Keep in Touch”.
