I am excited to join the team of caring medical experts at Princeton Brain, Spine and Sports Medicine in 2024, especially as the first female physician in the practice.

After completing 13 years of schooling/training, I’ve been practicing as a board-certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician for over 10 years in the South Jersey and Central Jersey regions. I’ve also had the honor of winning the “Top Docs” award for multiple years in South Jersey magazine and SJ magazine.

Growing up, I wanted to go into the medical field like my mother who was a nurse from India. In high school, I was accepted into a highly competitive combined three-degree program (BS/MD/MS) at Union College with Albany Medical School in NY, which accepts approx. 15 students each year in the country. Through that program, I did a term abroad in Mexico where I learned to speak Spanish and completed a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management.

Afterwards, I was one of the Chief Residents in my PM&R residency program (at Nassau University Medical Center in Long Island, NY) and contributed to chapters in two published PM&R books. In addition, I completed a Fellowship in Interventional Spine/Pain, though currently I am providing non-interventional treatments and care.

My specific area of expertise within the broad specialty of PM&R is the spine, musculoskeletal, and nervous systems. I primarily treat patients experiencing pain in the neck, mid-back, low back, joints and symptoms such as pain, numbness, tingling and weakness in the extremities. Along with medication management, ordering diagnostic testing and conservative therapy for such ailments, I perform EMG/NCV nerve testing to help pinpoint the cause of the symptoms.

I have dedicated my life to helping patients improve their function and quality of life and treat my patients like family. Continuing to provide high quality medical care with kindness, respect and compassion is very important to me. I also believe in an integrative, multidisciplinary team approach to care, encompassing care from physical therapists and chiropractors to interventional pain physicians, orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons.

Outside of medicine, I love the beach, photography and watching sports (football and hockey). My husband and pet Yorkie love to join me in my interests as well.
