If not treated and managed properly, a concussion can result in permanent brain damage and even death. Concussions are a form of brain injuries resulting in over 50,000 deaths a year in the United States.

He also discusses a new tool used by professional and school contact sport organizations to assist in the detection and treatment of concussions.
The video was prepared in response to the recent serious concussions suffered by drivers involved in racing accidents.
